Dear friends!
We cordially invite you to participate in the expedition to Ukrainian Carpathians - the mountains, in the heart of Europe, which have not quite undergone impact of the civilization. Beautiful landscapes, waterfalls and lakes, mountain settlements of shepherds and extraordinary people, old virginal forests and alpine meadows, hundreds of kilometers of mountain roads and off-road adventures. This is a land where some unique Ukrainian ethnic groups with their traditions, lifestyle and culture live. The peculiarity of expeditions to Ukrainian Carpathians is the fact that we do not have so many restrictions on the transport movement in mountainous and forest areas, as they are in many European countries. We know and love this land, that is why we want to share this experience with you. The time you spend on our hospitable land will leave unforgettable experience for ever.

If you are an organized group, at your request we can reserve the expedition exclusively for you, or we may negotiate more convenient dates for you and us.
The route of the expedition is mapped so as to visit as many attractions as possible moving mostly along alpine paths. If desired, weather permitting and technical operability of crew teams, we will be able to see and visit:
• remnants of mountain Soviet military objects;
• elements of Arpad defensive line, built by the Hungarian army in World War II (deep underground bunkers and anti-tanks structures)
• mountain shepherd farms;
• swimming in vats with hot hydrogen sulfide water;
• alpine lakes and waterfalls;
• ethnographic museum, open-air museum;
• ancient churches and cave monastery;
• royal city of Lviv;
The expedition program is organized so that, if necessary, every few days we could spend the night in hotels and tourist places where you can take a shower, settle domestic needs, replenish products. We would also like to draw your attention to the Carpathian cuisine. These dishes do not leave anyone indifferent
Day 1
10:00 (Kyiv time) the organizers meet the participants after crossing the border point Kroscienko – Smilnycia in the territory of Ukraine. (GPS49.4774272,22.7213441) Breakfast.
Departure (during this day, in fact, we will drive on public roads)
Overview of underground bunkers of Hungarian Arpad defensive line (World War II)
Dinner "Bogracs" (cook on fire). All participants will be involved in the process of cooking it. :)
Overnight in tents.
Day 2
Climbing the extremely picturesque mountain plateau “Polonyna Runa”.
Overview of remnants of the Soviet secret military objects.
Descent to Lumshory village.
Bathing in hot vats, herbal teas (exotic treatments that bear some resemblance to the sauna or jacuzzi. Vats filled with mineral water from local springs. Looks like in hell, but satisfaction is like in paradise. :))
Overnight in the hotel "U Cimbora”.

Moving to Podobovets village where climbing stunningly beautiful mountain range Borzhava begins.
Overnight in tents at the top of the range.
Dinner "Kulish" (on fire).

The descent to the town Mizhhirya, moving to Kolochava.

Remnants of pagan place of worship, and later Christian monastery in Rozhirche village.
Lviv. Overnight in the hotel "Arkhystratyh", located on the territory of the ancient monastery in the heart of the city. The ability to park the car.

Lviv. Sightseeing tour around the royal city, attractions. (Dungeons, churches, parks, fortifications,cafes) Beer. Much beer! :)
End of the expedition.

Requirements for crew teams:
technical operability of the car
МТ-tires, or AT in good condition
winch (at least 1 for two cars)
necessary rescue equipment for off-road (hi-jacks, slings, clevis, shovel, etc.)
necessary spare parts and technical fluids for cars during the expedition
equipment for the long journey (tents, torches, water canisters)
preferably portable radio of walkie-talkie type with configurable frequencies or medium wave radio
fuel reserve is not obligatory, may be 20L
off-road driving experience
Price:
The crew (2 people) 950.00 EUR (groups or crews participating for the second time in our activities have 15% discount)
Every other person 155.00 EUR
The price includes:
- work of Ukrainian guides,
- registration in the rescue service,
- food, accommodation and attractions indicated in the program description.
The organizers assume all the troubles associated with the permissions of the Border Guard Service (in areas near the border point), forest and environmental services. Also we will do our best to solve technical problems.
The minimum number of crews - 4.
Members of the expedition get brand T-shirts and stickers.
No deposit money. Payment at the starting point.
The organizers: We "Grofa 4x4 equipe" - a group of outdoor adventure enthusiasts from Lviv. Offroad for us is more than a hobby. We both organize expeditions and participate in competitions of trophy raids and trials. We may ensure the recommendations of many off-roaders from Ukraine and Europe. We are a part of the travel agency "Grofa", which organizes tours and excursions in Ukraine, hiking tours and family camps.

P.S. Despite the fact that Ukraine is de facto at war with Russia, a theater of war operations is at far east - the opposite part of the country. Please be assured of the area’s safety of our routes.
